Cast Clinic

The Cast Clinic is designed for initial consultations with an orthopedic surgeon for patients with recent fractures, dislocations, tendon and ligament ruptures that are unlikely to require urgent surgery, and for follow-up of nonsurgical and surgical patients.  Patients that are seen in Cast Clinic are often in need of casting or brace immobilization, suture removal and/or post surgical wound assessments.

The Cast Clinic is held on certain weekdays, Monday to Friday, with the exception of statutory holidays.  Patients are assigned to a specific surgeon for cast clinic appointments and, therefore, cast clinic appointment times and dates will be based on their surgeon's availability.  All patients are expected to arrive at or slightly before their scheduled appointment time.

Patients are encouraged to wear clothing that will easily allow for examination of their injured extremity.  This includes shorts or loose fitting pants for lower extremity injuries and tank tops or similar for upper extremity injuries.
