Non-Acute Orthopedic Clinics

At Central Alberta Orthopedics, we have a central intake referral system.  This enables us to triage your referral to the appropriate practitioner with special interest and expertise in the management of your patient's injury or disability.  We also try to triage patients to appropriate physicians with the shortest waitlist to minimize delay in treatment of your patient.

If you would like to request a specific practitioner, please make sure to indicate that clearly on your referral, but please also note this will typically mean a longer wait for your patient. 

At this point, we only accept referrals from physicians and nurse practitioners.

Have a look at our different clinics - there is some information regarding what type of imaging is required prior to sending a referral.

If your patient has had an acute injury, please visit our Trauma Clinic, Cast Clinic or Brent Sutter Sports Medicine Clinic pages to see if your patient is best suited to one of those clinics.

Also, we do offer econsults to provide advice prior to seeing your patient.
