MSK Physician Assessment Clinic
The MSK Physician Assessment Clinic (MSK) is run by physicians with a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal problems.
We see a wide variety of patients in our MSK Physician Assessment Clinic such as:
- Patients who don't yet have a definitive diagnosis for their pain
- Patients for whom it is unclear whether further imaging would be beneficial
- Patients interested in non-surgical management for their problem or who have not maximized non-surgical management
- Patients with conditions such as plantar fasciitis or tendinopathies around the elbow that are best treated non-surgically
Our MSK physicians are experts in the field. They will perform a thorough assessment of the patient in order to narrow down the most appropriate diagnosis. If needed, further imaging will be ordered and any treatments such as therapeutic injections, physiotherapy, bracing, splinting and orthotics will be recommended. For more complex patients, diagnostic injections may also be performed.
If your patient then requires a surgical consultation, this will be arranged and your patient will not have lost their place in the surgical consultation queue.
